THYROID & HASHIMOTO’S CARE
Thyroid & Hashimoto’s Care in Heber City
Already treated for hypothyroidism and still not feeling well, or wondering about a possible thyroid problem? Get a careful review of your symptoms, labs and medications, with attention to causes beyond the thyroid.

Do These Sound Familiar?
These symptoms have many possible causes. If more than one sounds like you, it is worth a careful evaluation.
WHO THIS CARE IS FOR
Adults with a thyroid diagnosis, and adults with questions
Symptoms alone do not establish a thyroid diagnosis or guarantee medication treatment. Careful evaluation is how we find out what is going on.
Diagnosed hypothyroidism or Hashimoto’s
Adults who already have a diagnosis and want a thorough review of their symptoms and treatment plan.
Taking thyroid medication, still symptomatic
People currently on thyroid medication who still have persistent symptoms and want to understand why.
Possible thyroid concerns
Adults seeking evaluation of a possible thyroid problem, without an existing diagnosis.
ALREADY ON TREATMENT
Already taking thyroid medication but still feeling unwell?
Cammi manages thyroid medications when appropriate. We review your symptoms, lab trends, medication use and other possible contributors, rather than assuming the dose needs to go up.
Not every patient with symptoms needs a higher dose or a different thyroid medication. Sometimes the answer is somewhere else.
What we look at
UNDERSTANDING HASHIMOTO’S
What Hashimoto’s means, and how it differs from hypothyroidism
Hashimoto’s is an autoimmune thyroid disease. The immune system targets the thyroid gland, and this shows up on blood tests as thyroid antibodies.
Hypothyroidism means the thyroid is underactive. Hashimoto’s is one common cause, but the two are not the same thing. Hashimoto’s can be present while thyroid function is still normal.
Antibody results help clarify the diagnosis. Thyroid function, symptoms and the overall clinical picture guide treatment decisions, and monitoring depends on how the thyroid is working.
YOUR EVALUATION
What your evaluation includes
Testing is individualized based on your symptoms, history, previous results and current treatment.
History and review
Your symptoms and history, prior labs, and a review of your medications and supplements. Bring recent labs if you have them.
Thyroid function tests
TSH, free T4 and free T3, interpreted together with your symptoms, history and current treatment. These show how your thyroid is working.
Thyroid antibodies
TPO and thyroglobulin antibodies are part of the initial lab panel to evaluate for autoimmune thyroid disease, including Hashimoto’s. These answer a different question than thyroid function tests. If they are negative, we repeat them only when clinically indicated.
Overlapping concerns
Other contributors to persistent symptoms, including sleep, nutrient deficiencies and hormonal changes, are considered alongside your thyroid results.
THYROID AND HORMONES
Thyroid symptoms during perimenopause and menopause
Fatigue, brain fog, weight change, mood shifts and poor sleep can come from thyroid disease, from hormonal changes, or from both. We evaluate these concerns together and do not assume every symptom belongs to one or the other.

Yes. Hashimoto’s is an autoimmune condition, and thyroid function can be normal while antibodies are present. Antibody results help clarify the diagnosis. Thyroid function, symptoms and the clinical picture guide treatment decisions.
There are several possibilities. We review your symptoms, lab trends, current dose, how you take the medication, and possible medication or supplement interactions. Sleep, nutrient deficiencies and hormonal changes can also contribute. Persistent fatigue does not automatically mean the dose needs to increase.
Testing is individualized based on your symptoms, history, previous results and current treatment. Your initial lab panel includes TSH, free T4 and free T3, along with TPO and thyroglobulin antibodies. Thyroid function tests and antibodies answer different questions. If antibodies are negative, we repeat them only when clinically indicated.
Thyroid disease and hormonal changes can cause similar symptoms. We look at both, along with sleep and other contributors, without attributing every symptom to one cause.
Yes. Bring recent labs, along with a list of your medications and supplements. We review them as part of your history and decide what, if anything, needs to be tested.
The Clarity Consultation is $97 for 30 minutes. It is credited toward the $670 Clarity Assessment when the assessment is completed within 30 days. Further assessment is recommended when appropriate. Ongoing management requires enrollment in a recommended care program, and follow-up visits and testing are based on that program, treatment changes and clinical needs.
